Privacy Policy

The short version: DeskHQ collects almost nothing. There’s no account to create, the quiz runs entirely in your browser, and the only personal information we ever receive is an email address — and only if you choose to type one in. The details are below.
Taking the quiz
Your quiz answers stay in your browser. When you finish, your answers are packed into the build link itself (that’s the string of letters in the address bar) so the page can rebuild your result. We don’t store your answers on a server, and we don’t tie them to you.
One thing worth knowing: because your answers live inside the build link, anyone you share that link with can see the same result — which reflects the answers you gave. That’s a feature, but share it with that in mind.
If you email yourself a build
If you use the “Email my build” form, we collect your email address and the link to your build, and nothing else. We use it to send you your build and, occasionally, a note if a price on one of your picks drops. We will not sell it, rent it, or hand it to anyone outside the services that run the site.
Our email is handled by Kit (kit.com). Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete you entirely at any time (see below).
Analytics
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to see which pages are visited and how many people take the quiz. It’s aggregate and anonymous — no cookies, no tracking across other websites, and nothing that identifies you personally.
Cookies
DeskHQ doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies. Your browser may keep your quiz progress locally so you don’t lose your place, but that never leaves your device.
When you click out to a retailer
Clicking a “Buy” or “Add to cart” link takes you to Amazon or another retailer. Once you’re there, that company’s own privacy policy governs what happens — including any cookies they use to credit us for the referral. We never see your payment details or what you ultimately buy.
Who touches your data
A short, honest list of the services involved:
- Kit — sends the build emails, only if you sign up.
- Our analytics provider — anonymous, cookieless visit counts.
- Vercel — hosts the site and, like any web host, briefly logs requests.
- Amazon and other retailers — only once you click out to them.
Removing your data
Want your email deleted? Email hello@deskhq.gg and we’ll remove you promptly. Since we don’t store your quiz answers, there’s nothing else on our side to delete.
Children
DeskHQ isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
